The University enrolls nearly 20,000 students in six faculties and a college.[2] For two consecutive seasons, in 2003 and 2004, the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) rated the University as the best state University in Nigeria.[2]The University’s main campus is located in Ogbomosho. This main campus is the site of the University’s administration, as well as home to five faculties and the post-graduate school.[3]Fields of study include pure and applied science, medicine, agriculture, engineering and technology, and environmental science. Another campus is located in Osogbo, home to the College of Health Sciences. Faculties in medicine and surgery, medical laboratory technology and nursing are housed there.
